Searching for a job? Use your resources!
Did you know that Career Services offers many resources to help you in your job search? Two that you should be aware of are HuskyCareerLink and Mock Interviews.
HuskyCareerLink is a web based recruiting system which allows Career Services to manage many of the recruiting related activities they offer to students. The on-line system allows students to view job openings, apply for postings, and even sign up for interview times with companies doing on-campus interviews. Students interested in participating in on-campus interviews and/or viewing electronic job postings must register in HuskyCareerLink. Information is available on the Career Services Job Searching page.
Mock Interviews Does the prospect of interviewing for that great job opportunity make you nervous? Or do you just want to polish your interviewing skills? You can schedule a time to do a mock interview at Career Services! The interviews are done by their student paraprofessional career resource assistants. They will interview you and provide videotape and critique to help you improve. Call 486-3013 or stop by Career Services to schedule a session.

Seniors: Want to know if your application for graduation is on track
Pay attention to those emails from Degree Audit in the Office of the Registrar!
We know you receive a lot of emails, but make sure you don’t overlook those from Degree Audit. You will receive an email from Degree Audit confirming your graduation status soon after both your plan of study and application for graduation are received. If you haven’t received your confirmation email you may want to check in with Degree Audit.
The staff in Degree Audit also takes steps to notify seniors who have applied to graduate of any issues. If you are missing credits or requirements, you will receive an email from Degree Audit letting you know. Please pay attention to these emails – they are intended to help you! Addressing questions or concerns promptly will allow you to stay on track for graduation or take the steps necessary to develop alternate plans.
Another sign that things are on track . . . Students who have properly followed the steps to a successful graduation will receive information about commencement via email/mail. If your friends who are seniors start receiving this information and you don’t, you may want to check in with Degree Audit.
Degree Audit is located in the Office of the Registrar in the Wilbur Cross Building. Their doors are open Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and they can be reached by phone at 486-6214 to address any questions or concerns.

Congrats to the Outstanding Greek Senior Award Winners!
The Fraternity and Sorority Life Awards recognized the achievements of the following Outstanding Greek Senior Award recipients:
- Bethany DiMarzio, Pi Beta Phi: Bethany is a valuable leader and asset to both Pi Beta Phi and Alpha Phi Omega, the National Co-Ed Service Fraternity. As a member of Pi Phi, she served as president of her Spring 2007 new member class, gaining valuable experience guiding her peers through their initiation into UConn’s Greek community. Bethany also took on the position of new member coordinator to assist new members easing into their roles as sorority members and new students. Despite her commitments in Pi Phi, Bethany is equally dedicated to Alpha Phi Omega and currently serves as chapter president.
- Troy Lipp, Delta Chi: Troy is an exemplary role-model and has made significant contributions to Delta Chi. In the past he has served as Alumni/Chapter Liaison, Recruitment Chair, Philanthropy Chair, and Academic Success Chair. Troy represented his chapter as president in 2008. Due in part to these efforts and his numerous leadership skills, he was selected to help instruct OFSL’s Introduction to Greek Leadership class this semester. His fairness in making decisions is valued by members of Delta Chi and the Greek community as a whole.
